Jordan Ray Lawson
Jordan Ray Lawson is an American Singer/Songwriter born in Southwestern VA: just over an hour from Knoxville, TN. His solid work ethic was developed through working on his grandfather's farm, farming tobacco, playing sports, and practicing guitar during his free time. His love for music came to the forefront in 2009 - the years before serving in the Army and continued despite being deployed to Iraq in 2010. Jordan and his fellow soldiers used music to pass time and to deal with the pressures of being in a foreign country.
Music was indeed a therapy Jordan brought from home; hia passion for music alleviated the stress and heartache of being away from home while never losing sight of the silver lining.
After completing almost 4 years of military service and before returning home to East TN, he traveled to Nashville, TN to perform at writer's rounds and many stages all over the East Coast. On top of working as a traveling ironworker/welder. He performed music at night and eventually to linked up with a producer in the U.K to produce and release his first album in the fall of 2019.
Jordan's reflective solo single release titled "Not A Damn Thing Changed" distributed on his very own label Divinidime Records Inc. with several follow up singles to this solo effort. There are plans for a 2021 album release along with a regional tour and benefit performances to follow given the aftermath of the shutdown locally in Virginia. This effort will raise money and help rebuild live music venues and support local acts and businesses in Southwest VA and Northeastern TN.
